Art After Hours: The Stream of Consciousness invites audiences to engage in a dialogue with the unconscious, exploring the intersections of dreams, memory, technology, and spiritual forces.
Harnessing the collective consciousness and inspired by scientific methodologies, this edition of Art After Hours merges video installations, music, and celebratory live performances. This evening guides the audience to delve into the veiled territories of the mind, navigating the fluid boundaries between the unconscious, subconscious, and reality.
This edition centres around the interdisciplinary works by Swedish-Chinese artist Ella Wang Olsson, Taiwanese artist Ho Yen-Yen, German music group KLASSIK underground and Hong Kong musicians. Through their keen perspectives, these artistic units emphasise the fluidity of consciousness and its role in shaping memory and identity, prompting deeper reflections on the body, healing, and social resonance.
Art After Hours: The Stream of Consciousness encourages a contemplative engagement with the unseen forces – psychological, spiritual and technological – that shape our perception of reality. This event seeks to activate Tai Kwun into a vibrant space of artistic experimentation and community exploration, inspiring visions of the future emerging from the depths of collective consciousness.
